Forest Protection through Sasi: Local Environmental Law in Ambon Island Post COVID -19 Pandemic

This study discusses forest protection through Sasi (Local Environmental Law) in Ambon island post-COVID-19. is a customary norm and rules sanctions regarding the prohibition of taking plant or products, fish game time before agreed determined by community leaders together with members. The main goal to conserve natural resources, control limit human greed overexploiting resources. research method used qualitative normative legal research. was conducted at Universitas Kristen Indonesia from January March 2021. objects studied were documents either reports regulations related indigenous peoples' local wisdom. instrument document checklist. data analysis technique descriptive technique. results are that traditional wisdom has values ??and norms protect forests, water sources, annual plants, food plants.
